Cass Warner

Cass Warner has the honor of being a third-generation film maker. Her father, twice Oscar-nominated writer/producer Milton Sperling worked on the Warner Bros. lot and her grandfather, Harry Warner, was the President and Founder of Warner Bros. studios.

She began her career sitting in on story meetings with her father and wondering the lot observing the magic of this art form.  After studying acting with the acclaimed Milton Katselas, and learning screenwriting under the mentorship of her father and Howard Koch of "Casablanca" fame, her production company, Warner Sisters, was born.  Cass carries on the original Warner Bros. motto--making films that "educate, entertain and enlighten."

As part of her slate, she is honored to administer the rights to all of Howard Koch's unproduced works: screenplays, plays, short stories and novels, which she is developing into a library, as well as individual projects for screen and stage.

In 1993, Cass authored the definitive story of the Warner family entitled, "Hollywood Be Thy Name:  The Warner Brothers Story" now in its 7th printing and newly titled, "The Brothers Warner".

She has recently completed a feature documentary, "The Brothers Warner" which she directed. wrote, produced and narrated. The film is an intimate portrait of the family and their cultural legacy.  The PBS American Masters series is airing a 60-minute version.

Cass earned a "Consulting Producer" credit and Warner Sisters an "In Association" credit on Warner Bros. studios' five-part series on the history of the studio and of their films, "You Must Remember This:  The Warner Brothers Story" narrated by Clint Eastwood.

An on-going project is "Conversations With Cass", a series of one-on-one conversations with some of today's most recognized actors and other notable personalities--Matthew McConaughey and Giovanni Ribisi. These interviews are forming an inspirational library for her non-profit, "The Dream Factory."  Excerpts from the series have been previewed on The Starz cable channel.

On a personal note, Cass is the proud mother of four.  Her son is actor, Cole Hauser, recently in "The Family That Preys."
